Today, we’re on the fourth episode or Week Four of our journey towards achieving healthier and visibly radiant skin. This week is all about being kind to your skin. Sometimes, I think of our skin as a child or a puppy that needs constant nurturing. Our skin has its unique healing capabilities, but it cannot completely take care of itself, so it depends on our love. Being kind to your skin is a form of self-love – when we care for our skin, it rewards us by being radiant and healthy. Your skin loves antioxidants. This blog outlines why we need antioxidants, and how to include them in your skincare routine.
Like I always tell my friends and family, in our lifetime, not everyone will gift us kindness, no matter how much we need or deserve it. But we can always be kind to ourselves. You’ve got your back. And rest assured, when it comes to skincare, I’ve got yours, too.

Week 4 Detox Update:
These four hero products will serve as your protective shield against harmful elements to your skin during the day and as agents to rejuvenate, heal, and repair your skin at night during bedtime while you take your beauty rest.
After 4 weeks of being kind to your skin and using 100% natural products, you should notice a healthier glow. Because we’re all different, how we react to these skincare products will also vary, so it’s a good idea to monitor your progress and take note of the changes on your skin. This week is all about showering our skin with kindness.
Commit to the Natural Alternative
Stay committed to using a healthy skincare alternative, versus other products with questionable chemical ingredients. By doing this, you’re being kind to your skin, and giving it the power to transform into a healthy, protecting shield.
Nourish Yourself with Antioxidants
Oxidants are molecules that react to other molecules inside our bodies. Whether you live in the city or not, there is no escaping the harmful oxidants that our body can absorb through air pollution. When oxidants get out of control, they can damage our cells and cause serious diseases.
The good news is that we can fight oxidation by nourishing our bodies with antioxidants. There are lots of foods and drinks rich in antioxidants. Some of my favorites are berries, oranges, artichokes, pinto beans, apple juice, red wine, and green tea. Delicious, and good for you!
At Au Natural, We Love Antioxidants!
Antioxidants work a treat when applied to the skin. That’s why we developed an eye serum which is infused with nine different berries that are rich in antioxidants. These are: cranberries, raspberries, wild blackberries, acai berries, bilberries, strawberries, cherries, and black mulberries. Our Superfruit Eye Serum has these delicious ingredients to improve the area around your eyes and minimizes the appearance of wrinkles and crow’s feet. I recommend storing our Superfruit Eye Serum in the fridge – the cool temperature will help with eliminating dark circles and reducing puffiness. Being kind to your skin has never been easier – as the cool rollerball massages your skin, it also facilitates healthy blood circulation. What could be better!?
Explore Au Natural
Now that you’ve integrated Manuka honey into your skincare, you might begin trying new skincare products and adding them into your daily or weekly routine. Avocado oil is great for the skin – it contains high levels of mono-saturated fats and antioxidants. Because Au Natural Skinfood products are rich in avocado oil, we aim to strengthen your skin and create an invisible barrier to ward off harmful skin irritants while rejuvenating and hydrating your skin. Our ingredients have high levels of antioxidants compared to other countries, because of New Zealand’s strong UV rays.
The difference between these two products is the level of plant-based retinol and Vitamin A in each. If you’ve never used retinol before, I recommend the Level 1. The main goal of these dry oils is to produce healthy elastin and collagen to moisturize your skin.
When I designed these oils, I made sure they would be easily absorbed without leaving behind any oily residue. Because no one wants to feel sticky oil on their skin, right? You can use these oils on their own, or you can combine them with your moisturizer. Just add a drop or two, and you’re good to go. You can also use them to soften your nails and moisturize your cuticles. And if that’s not enough, you can also use these oils to control unwanted baby hairs, or to manage unruly curls or frizz. How can you not have them in your go-to beauty kit?
